What’s the difference between HRT and TRT?
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) are both treatments designed to restore hormone balance, but they differ in focus and who they’re intended for. HRT is commonly used for women to replace declining levels of estrogen, progesterone, and sometimes testosterone, especially during menopause. It helps alleviate symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and other hormonal imbalances. On the other hand, TRT is a specific form of HRT focused on men, aiming to increase testosterone levels to address symptoms of Low T, such as fatigue, low libido, erectile dysfunction, and muscle loss.
